This store is where you can purchase both originals and prints by Rebekah including 2011 Maine Duck Stamp Prints. Rebekah LaCourse is an illustrator, wildlife artist and writer who is inspired by a passion for representing the natural world through her art. A Maine native, her works are often noted for their naturalistic style, elegance, and color. She is continually searching for avenues to develop her skills as an artist, with her style ranging from precise realism to emotive expressionism. Her use of color and personal technique make her work an excellent choice for a wide range of projects and purposes. She is accomplished in many different mediums including acrylics, ink and watercolor and mixed media. Having written and illustrated several of her own children's books, all nature-oriented, she is an aspiring children's book author and illustrator pursuing publication. Rebekah is an alumna of the Rhode Island School of Design. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________

  • One of my paintings made the Chanel 8 News! (though briefly) NEWS VIDEO Recently, the judging for  the Oregon Habitat Stamp Contest took place and when the news was taking footage, they showed my entry of Fender's Blue Butterflies on Kincaid's Lupines for a shot in the camera! There were 86 entries on this first year of the contest and the winning painting chosen was created by Sara Stack, an Oregon native.  Congrats to Sara! I gave it a good shot, maybe next year...SEE ALL OF THE ENTRIES HERE!

 

 

  • Thank you to all who purchased a print from me at the Kittery Trading Post in Kittery, Maine! I will return there as I am able. Please email me if you would like to be notified of the dates I will be there and I will personally let you know each time I will be at the Post.

 

  • This Summer I will be at the Waterfowl Event at Cabela's in Scarborough, Maine. Stop by have your 2011 Maine Duck Stamp signed free of charge! Be sure to check back for dates. (I am not permitted by Cabela's to sell my work there, but will be passing out information about my work and will have some work there on display.) If you have a 2011 Duck Stamp, I'll be glad to sign it that day at no cost to you!
